Wow! This is the first time I’ve heard someone mention they picked up on ventriloquism the same way I did. Jay Johnson was THE influence for me to become a ventriloquist and like John I too learnt by watching him on Soap banter back and forth with Bob. Back then in Australia there was no other way so I guess I didn’t have much of a choice, but I watched those episodes over and over until I could do it. Years later I took the Maher course because I felt I had to if I was to do it right, but soon discovered I was anyway.
