Is there someone that can help me with my bags to my car?
Just like a real dealers room, I could probably spend a lot of money in here!
Does anybody know where to get a cheaper figure for a beginner that still has a control stick rather than the string in the back of the head?
Also, has anybody tried one of those monkeys? I’m thinking about a soft puppet for my next character.
Andrew – Mike Palma and I discussed a new video for Maher that will teach people how to turn a toy figure (pull string) into a conversion by adding a head stick. It will be an inexpensive mini-course to help people do the upgrade themselves. Look for it later in the year.

Andrew, I’d say go for the monkey! Goodness has nothing to do with who made it or how much it cost, has everything to do with who is using it. I’ve tried these out before, and found they give a good range of movement and character and reads well. They are easy to use and well made. Once you have it, you can always add little details to make it your own, make it like no one elses…a bandana, glasses, etc… or just define him with character.
Tom Crowl, thanks for your reply. Sounds like a great concept that will be a big help for beginners!
