The third part of my Kenny Croes interview where we discuss Kenny’s web site.

I don’t use hard figures personally and
and that’s one of the reasons I don’t
have any of yours but I do sit there and
admire them when I see them and I just
looked at your website it looks
incredible well thanks it’s kind of a I
love doing websites uh I it’s not a very
healthy Endeavor though I sit there and
I I stare at a computer and drink too
much coffee and and and don’t eat on
time you know uh but I do enjoy that and
and fact today I spent most of the day
uh trying to figure out flash you know
so uh expect that sooner or later when I
do figure it out that there’ll be some
kind of animation on my website when you
when you look at it but uh anyway but uh
thanks I you know it helps to have a a
good website and uh you know people uh I
think feel more confident if they come
across somebody that has a reasonable
website and um to buy from them and and
and so that’s why I’m trying so hard to
make it good well I was I’m surprised
you did it yourself because it usually
you can tell a homemade website so you
obviously studied a little bit about the
design and
HTML way too
much I can share a tip with you if you’d
like oh yeah great thank you if you’re
having trouble with flash uh are you
familiar with the site guru.com no okay
there’s a little site called guru.com
and you can go there it’s free to sign
up and they there’s people who do all
kinds of jobs uh there I hire virtual
assistants there all the time a virtual
assistant being somebody I tell them
this is the project I have and this is
what I’m willing to spend on it and
you’ll get people that bid but I found
some incredible programmers who can do
amazing things and it’s not that
expensive um so if you’re having a major
issue uh you know it it might be worth
your time to build a figure and sell it
and more than pay for what the guy does
for your website so well that’s a great
idea I will check that out and and
sometimes you can find them on Fiverr uh
which is
fiverr.com now I’ve never tried a a
programmer from Fiverr but guru.com I
use all the time for all kinds of things
I just had a guy who put together a form
for my website that totally customizes a
page when somebody puts their
information in yeah and then it it sends
them to a page that adds all their
information into it as kind of a thank
you for visiting the site and we’re
going to get back to you soon and you
know about your event and and just it’s
it’s it’s a it’s a now it’s it’s very
it’s a very private thing because I make
sure that I email them before they get
to that so it’s not like you could go on
my site and see it but it’s it’s amazing
what you can do with the internet now so
yeah great I I appreciate that I um I am
trying to unravel a problem with flash
right now and somebody there might be
able to help me out so yeah yeah and and
if you tell them what’s going on though
I’m guaranteeing they’ll probably be
able to help you out and it’ll be really
reasonable so um as long as you you know
tell them what you’re willing to spend
because some of them will come back with
really high bids the last project I did
the guy ended up charging me he wanted
to charge me 300 um I I got him I said
well I was really spending planning on
spending around two so we ended up like
almost dividing it he got me to I got
him to 225 till it was done and uh uh
but I had a guy from India bid on it and
it was like
$50 I was I was really toying do I want
to go to the $50 but the guy who I ended
up hiring knew exactly what I was
talking about and he he nailed it so
just be really descriptive in your um
your project they they ask you to
describe the project and just be very
descriptive as to what you need done and
and you know they’ll quote on it and if
if you’re not sure just put a thing down
that you’re not sure what you’re you
know what the what the budget is um
because there’s a little thing there and
you can kind of set the level and and
sometimes when I’m doing something small
I’ll sit not sure and just see what the
bids are and then maybe counter offer
see if you can work something out what a
great idea for the
business yeah and and and and it’s it’s
an amazing I I Love Guru so I highly
recommend it
