He mentioned R. Crumb, who is a fantastic cartoonist. I don’t always like his subject matter, but I love his style of drawing. I saw him once at Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica, CA, some years ago. He was there with a bunch of other underground cartoonists to celebrate the publication of the final issue of Zap Comics.
