you went to vent Haven what was the
first year you went to um I believe it
was 2011 201 okay and you’ve been there
almost every year since or I’ve only
missed one year since wow that’s amazing
now you’re on the hospitality up there
am I correct yes okay tell me a little
bit about what you do at the ventriloquist convention
well I mean you know I was an attender
and you know I mean the hospitality
group is about uh making people feel
welcome and you know my first visit
there what really impressed my wife is
not a Vent, she has no no um interest in
being one she supports me sometimes
sometimes she wish I’d go away a a and
what impressed me the most time is when
you know my first year there Mark Wade
and his crew and everybody made us feel
welcome and more importantly they made
my wife feel welcome and a part of the
group MH and and that really impressed
me and so when it came you know when I
was asked a couple years to be on the
Hospitality Group you know um committee
I you know I I accept it and I try to do
the same thing you know for the newbies
to make them feel welcome um try to
answer their questions and you know
Point him in the right
direction basically I’m trying to return
what I received that that’s great um now
there are a lot of behind the scenes
things too so what kind of things do you
do behind the scenes well fortunately I
don’t I don’t have much you do you do
more than I do with the sound equipment
or whatever um I mean you know we watch
the doors and you know um but you know
and we have the the hospitality suite
you you we intering or whatever so I
don’t really have a lot of behind the
scenes I think that’s more Mark Wade and
his crew putting the putting the the the
convention together okay okay just
wasn’t sure whether there was uh you
know like when you get there you got to
make sure the hospitality room’s set up
I mean all that kind of stuff no
fortunately I don’t have to do that um
because part of uh when when they asked
me is um I you know because some of them
guys are up to 3 or four o’clock in the
morning yeah and and and I just asked
listen I don’t have to do that yo if I
do then I have to decline no no Chris
and Mark do that and go so they they
take care of their um Staffing of that
or or stocking of it or whatever but you
know we go there and assist them you
know whatever way we can okay that’s
great
