can you share with us some of the things
that we’re going to see this summer
right we got a really full schedule I
brought my cheat sheet along right over
here with me because there’s so much I
can’t uh you remember at all but we’re
going to talk about a wide variety of
different things we have some some
really good ventriloquist performers we always have
good performers but some exceptional
performers this year coming in
on our big Saturday night show for
example we’ve got Jerry Lane and Buddy
Big Mountain who’s a Native American uh
who does great great things Taylor Mason
and from England for the first time on
our show Paul Zerdin who is a an upand
coming great ventriloquist from Britain we have our
International show and steo works
putting that all together we have
somebody from India we got a guy named
Dave Dixon from Canada uh he’s just
hired another act that is going to go in
there um and we have Dan Horn who we
brought back to do his master puppet
manipulation I mean that’s just kind of
like not a convention unless he’s doing
something about puppet manipulation he’s
the best soft puppet guy in the business
and Dale Brown’s doing a lecture on business or booking banquet programs uh
Pete Michael is doing our our our
lecture this year on brushing up on your
vent technique the 101 thing that we
talked about and of course Ken Groves
with his breathing for ventriloquist
that’s one thing we Overlook a lot is
the breathing aspect of ventriloquism
he’s going to do that for us um Steve
Petra for the very first time is going
to do a lecture for us he’s quite a
puppeteer ventriloquist with his you
know let’s get visual DVD that he has on
the market and Sammy King is going to do
and I don’t know anybody
else that could do it any any better uh
as far as other people are concerned
we’re going to honor of course May the
Maher Studios with Clinton and Adelia
Bob Ramba does their open mics for us um
she was I’m going down through here Bob
isacon and and Jerry L Jr and open Mike
and Senior Open Mike Allan cike gonna
bring his film on Caren feeding of your
dummy which is for hard figure people
it’s a film he made a few years ago he
he narrated as it goes showing you a
little things you can do to to work to
to help your puppet you know if you’re
traveling with a ventriloquist figure
and one of the big things is our senior
vent University special this year is all
on Comedy writing by Terry Fator Terry
is coming in and going to do a two-hour
workshop on that plus he’s bringing one
of these riders or we’re going to have a
rider there by Skype I haven’t we
haven’t been able to work quite that out
yet and then Terry is going to take us
all over to the Taff theater to see uh
his show which is across the river it’s
an old vonville house theyve restore
it’s beautiful so they get a free bus
ride over there Jeff Dunham of course is
a standby every year with a with a
lecture for me Saturday’s always his
spot so we have Jeff on on the scene
doing that uh so we’ve got really a good
lineup here I’m looking through here oh
John peasy first time John’s going to be
performing for us and uh and doing some
things so we’re really glad to have a
lot of new faces Chris donaho lizon San
helps out on some things as well with
the junior vent University that’s kind
of a neat thing we’ve come up with a way
to kind of help push the Juniors along a
little bit we give them an hour and a
half or hour and 45 minute time with
professional ventriloquist to help train
them work on spots with them get them
going on things we call it Junior vent
University when I’m very very pleased
that that was such a success we’ve been
doing it ever since Liz is now in charge
of that so got a full Full Slate of
stuff here I’m looking down through the
schedule as I’m talking to you Tim and
Amanda CO’s will be there as well um and
U Al getler is going to be there and
he’s going to be doing part of the show
and Dale Brown’s m sing so we have a and
David Turner is going to be on our one
of our
shows it’s a who’s who list of
performers that that’s an incredible
line up.
