I just did my kind of what I call my
opening season shows at the Irish
Festival in Savannah Georgia which is
humongous in thighs only to Boston and
New York and U we just open with
um U ventriloquist figures and uh then I
did some Marionette and closed with
ventriloquist figures okay um are you
still making marionette excuse me for
sounding stupid here I don’t recall
seeing them I don’t I don’t they are
very hard to
make and uh people would think well
since it’s
only you know 25 inches high or 20 in
high it ought to be that much less than
a Ventrilo figure but sometimes you know
I make trick marionette mainly and um you
not only have to make the marionette you
got to make the control to make the
thing work and there are no plans
for all that work you have to figure it
out and throw things away and redo this
and that but I’ve just kept I keep 14
marionet and in the house and uh use you
know those for the show mhm and
uh uh the outdoor festivals I mainly do
outdoor
festivals around the
state and uh because they have a zillion
of them here in South Carolina and
Georgia and Florida and things like that
and so I mainly do outdoor festivals and
uh normally people are walking around or
you know out there hot out there cold
out there in humidity or whatever MH and
uh so the marionettes a lot of times
with I actually use Ringling brother
circus music but the Marionette a lot of
times get their attention very quickly
and they have a seat and watch the show
you know MH that’s great um yeah now are
you traveling all those distances to
Florida and oh yeah okay I yeah I mainly
do them on the weekends because that’s
when most of the festivals are held MH
yeah so I’ll do a weekend show and
whatever like that and then the rest of
the week i’ sit in cars okay I did not
realize you traveled that far that is
great that is great yeah and uh so now
you started World vents on the Yahoo
groups am I correct on that yeah okay
what inspired you to do that sir
[Laughter]
well B basically an argument with S
Leonard you know uh in and around some
of
the the ways he wanted to control the
list and things like that and I decided
okay you know we we need another list or
an alternative or whatever so I decided
to do World Vents and the rest history
