Video Transcript:

it’s it’s a it’s a weird thing You you
know that they’re not real We know that
they’re you know we’re not insane but
yet they do have their own character It
is and you develop that split and it
just happens And I can’t tell you the
number of times I’m on stage and I’ve
been doing this for years Um the puppet
will say something that I had no idea it
was gonna say And that sounds crazy but
it’s just in that spur of the moment
you’ve got that you know it so well that
it’s going to happen And the better you
know your characters the more it happens
So yeah So I live on the Outer Banks of
North Carolina Um which is I don’t know
how familiar you are with the geography
off the top of your head but it’s um
group of islands actually that um are
basically in the middle of nowhere Um
and uh so work out here is is very it’s
it’s it’s weird It’s it’s it’s a it’s a
hard community to break into and to and
to live in And I have found that
um piano tuning and
re rebuilding pianos and even that has
led into furniture repair or refinishing
work if somebody has something they need
refinished um all these different like
little projects have kind of come my way
and and I just don’t say no because work
is work and um and I’m I’m comfortable
enough now at selling myself whether
it’s to play a gig or to you know offer
an extra service when I when I see when
I notice something at somebody’s house
and and I’m looking at their piano or
whatever And uh you know being able to
do a puppet show for a school or for um
um a birthday party or something like
that or um even at a a fair downtown
when they have you know the dare days in
the middle of summer or something Um I
think it’d be a lot of fun to to to be
able to bring these down I don’t think
I’m quite quite there yet but you know
keep practicing with it and have fun But
I definitely want to You know I’ve put a
lot of time into uh into not only you
know making the puppets and getting to
know some characters but obviously the
the the vocal end of things as well And
uh it’s it’s a lot of fun So yeah I’m
definitely want to want to keep up with
it I don’t think I’ll ever be a Jeff
Dunham but you never know You never know
You never know
