Matt recently went through the Learn-Ventriloquism Course and his enthusiasm for ventriloquism is contagious. This is the first of a five part interview.

so how you been I’ve been all right I’ve
been all right fantastic you enjoying
the course yeah um you are frozen in
time here yeah I got I got one it’s a
great shot of you you look
good and it’s obviously some other
picture
so please introduce yourself tell us a
little bit about you all right my name
is Matt fleckenstein I I go by Fleck uh
my day job is I am a piano
technician um I uh I’m watching your
mouth moving and you’re not saying
anything obviously so it’s kind of
distracting
um you still there yes I’m here okay
just checking um but uh so so yeah by my
day job is as a piano technician and uh
um play a little jazz piano on the side
so performing is not um uh un um uncomon
to me I uh I I perform at uh restaurants
and and gigs and weddings and stuff like
that excellent and uh however I um I got
into ventriloquism because I have two
small children and your mouth is still
moving and it’s really kind of just
funny um but uh anyways um I’ve got two
small children uh one’s just started
kindergarten and the other is about to
turn two and um for Christmas uh maybe
two years ago I built him a little
Puppet Theater and I got him a couple uh
um puppets um for for for that just to
goof around with and uh we started
playing around and uh you know they they
started to kind of really like them and
I was like hm I’m G to do a Google
search here on ventriloquism because I
remember watching Jeff Dunham and I
thought uh you know it’d be fun to mess
around with something something like
that and um I found a couple of the
sites that you know just offer free free
things and started messing around with
it and uh I I realized I wasn’t going to
go anywhere very quick with that and
that’s when I came across your your site
and uh it looked like a a good deal and
I am so not the kind of guy to just jump
into something online like that but um I
I went for it and um it was it was a
blast I’ve really enjoyed it the kids
have loved it and we’ve been having a
lot of fun with
it
