well so uh so tell me where are you
planning at some point on uh you know
doing more ventriloquism yes I am yes I
am my goal my goal is I guess like I
said I’m not sure whether I want to I
not with Max Max doesn’t talk so I’m
going to have to change the name
unfortunately I guess
um I guess Max can talk he just chooses
not to kind of like Teller um but I
really do want to try and do this and u
it’s I I’ll of course uh Craig and I
we’re best friends and we we have a good
time together doing these kind of things
but all the years as a mime
um you know there’s a sense and I’m sure
you understand it there’s a sense that
when you’re on the stage by yourself get
all these people in front of you and you
control
it it’s intoxicating it’s great you know
you love and when it’s working for you
oh man you’re alive when it’s not
working for you you’re dying but it’s a
it’s a it’s a great thing and and I miss
that and I I think I would like to do
that with the puppets you know just I
would I really would like to perform
with the puppets and as I’m growing
older I feel like I can probably perform
with the ventriloquism longer than I can
max with the magic thing so you know
very cool so what uh led you to uh the
learn ventriloquism site
actually I’ve been trying to find a
mentor a coach
because back when I was with the Cog
players the improvisation Christian
comedy troop that I was with we tried to
do the mine we like I said went to books
you can’t learn from books we had we put
white face on her didn’t know that
dusted we just put white face on so had
a grease on us and we’re in black
outfits and by the time we got finished
doing any one piece he had white all
over him i had white all over me and our
faces are all smeared we didn’t we
didn’t know and plus we weren’t doing
the moves right we were just kind of you
know not nothing really move and so I
began studying I studied under three
masters uh the last one actually studied
under he studied under Marcel Marcelo
and 18 crew so uh I second generation is
what and I studied under him for about a
year and a half two years and um I
actually got very very good and uh but I
I would not have had I not had a master
had I not had somebody to to go under so
that’s what I was looking for and uh I
had written to uh I had written to Nina
Ki and asked her I told her you know I
love what she’s doing i had some
questions I’d love to talk to her
sometime no answer wrote to uh Dan Horn
told him I’d like to be I’d like to see
if there’s some way I could I could
understudy under him or you know just
kind of you know have him coach me or
whatever just learn from him never got
an answer but I kept looking kept
looking kept looking um years and years
ago back I
guess 70 71 uh I had gotten the uh
Daniel O day
Nelson album you know and Farful and all
that and I and I and I I I lost it of
course so I went online and found that
and download that from from iTunes and I
was listening to that and as I’m
cruising different ventriloquist sites i
feel like a star as we’re cruising the
ventriloquist sites um I click on you
and I’m watching you and watching danger
duck and watching your little alien i
forget his name but watching the little
alien and um somehow another it came
up and I thought okay so I’ll try the
five lessons anyway try the five lessons
and I was hooked matter of fact I want
to find out how you know you on your
website you have advanced class or
master classes or whatever that is and I
don’t know anything about that but I’m
interested in that i guess once I get
past 24 and 25 and 36 or whatever yeah
go go to the end and then uh there are
um there are master classes that will
appear as soon as you you know hit
lesson 36 one of them is script writing
and then we just completed one with uh
um called discussions on showmanship
