This week I heard from Bob Franklin, and I truly appreciated him reaching out. Thanks Bob for all the kind words.
Bob didn’t have any questions, but he did mention he didn’t feel as if he had enough time to practice. I can relate to that. We all get busy and setting aside the time to pick up a puppet can be difficult. But it is important to remember that ventriloquism can be practiced anywhere. While in the shower, while shaving, while driving, etc.
Practice can be a frustrating word. I prefer to think of it as play. I get to play! And if I have fun with my playtime, it helps me do better shows, and I get paid more. I need to play more often!
Do you practice? Or do you play? Let me know in the comments below.
By the way – Don’t forget to Ask your own question at: https://learn-ventriloquism.com/ask-tom I’m finding people would rather get immediate answers to their questions, so they email instead of reaching out here. Unless you specify I can use the question here, I won’t do it. (I consider emails to be personal.) So leave your question and help keep the series moving forward! Who knows, the question you ask may apply to others who were just too nervous to step up and ask!
